Should I Stay or Should I Go?

This inner conflict is hard to put at rest,

the left side of my brain is saying no and the right side is saying yes.

I can understand that I should think logically, however, I can’t stop imagining what we could be.

I can understand why the right hemisphere of my brain says yes,

just like my heart, it is thinking about emotion it’s thinking generally.

But the left side is analysing what you did and what you said and how far you went,

it’s the rational part of my brain that is saying he will hurt you again.

My heart has become weak from all this internal fighting and this time you have me wondering,

‘Should I stay or should I go?’ or should I just forget this thought?
